The Figure Skating Club of Omaha is celebrating our 75th Anniversary this year! We have a few events in the works to mark this wonderful occasion, starting with our annual spring ice show, Baby You’re A Star. The ice show will be held on Saturday, April 26th at 1pm at Motto McLean Ice Arena in Hitchcock Park.
In celebration of our anniversary, we would like to extend an invitation to all of our current and past FSCO skaters for an ice show reunion. We would like to acknowledge all the past skaters in the audience and have a large group photo taken out on the ice at the end of the performance. If your skates still fit we would love for you to join us out on the ice for the finale curtain call!
Please help us forward this invitation to all the skating friends from your era and invite them to join us on this special occasion. Please join us for the ice show to reunite with your skating family and see how the club has grown. We would really like to get as many of you there as possible for the reunion picture that will be used for our Anniversary events planned later this year.
The show numbers will feature our FSCO Learn to Skate and competitive skaters in several large group, small group, and solo numbers. Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 12 and under (children 2 and under are free!) Tickets may be purchased starting Tuesday, April 15th, at show practice, at our Learn to Skate desk, from our show director, Andrea Williamson, or at the door. We hope to see you there!
With the kids out of school, summer is the best time to increase training and to take advantage of the special classes being offered. Our program provides a great opportunity to pick up extra skating days and practice time.
From June 2nd through August 8th, Monday through Friday, Club ice will be available from 6 am-10:15 a.m., on-ice classes will be available from 10:15-10:45 a.m., and off-ice classes will be available from 10:50-11:35 a.m. For class descriptions, pricing, and further details, download our Summer Camp brochure.
