Will you be competing soon and want to try that new element in your program? Do you want more practice in a competition setting so that you can feel more prepared? Would you like to banish those competition jitters before the actual event? Or perhaps you want to try out your new competition outfit and perform for your family and friends? These are all great reasons to participate in the FSCO Exhibition Series. Each month from May through July, we will hold an exhibition where skaters can perform their program in a competition event setting. Skaters will need to wear their competition outfit, makeup, and hair. Participating skaters will be divided into warm up groups by level, with a 5 minute warmup for each group.
The exhibitions will be held on:
- Saturday, May 30 – 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
- Saturday, June 27 – 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Saturday, July 25 – 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
The exhibitions are open to skaters of ALL levels. You will need to pay 1 coupon or $12 cash for each program that you want to skate. There is a limit of 20 skaters per exhibition, so reserve your spot by emailing Andrea Williamson no later than the Wednesday before your preferred exhibition date.
One of the largest community-wide events will be held in Omaha on May 20th. Omaha Gives! is a 24-hour event organized by the Omaha Community Foundation to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits through online fundraising. This event was created to show off Omaha’s spirit of giving, raise awareness about local nonprofits, and celebrate the collective effort it takes to make this city great.
Figure Skating Club of Omaha is very excited to participate in Omaha Gives! again this year. We hope you will consider supporting our club by making a donation. Anyone can donate – the starting donation is only $10. Participating nonprofit organizations who round up the most support will be eligible for matching funds and win prizes!
How can you help?

Thank you for supporting FSCO and helping us provide quality figure skating instruction in the Omaha area.
With the kids out of school, summer is the best time to increase training and take advantage of the special classes being offered. Our program provides a great opportunity to pick up extra skating days and practice time.

Skaters! Do you have any dresses or skates sitting around the house that you have outgrown? Or do you need to buy a new competition outfit for the upcoming Summer’s Edge competition? If so, then we have the perfect opportunity for you! We will be holding a used apparel and skate sale at Motto McLean ice arena on Saturday, May 2nd, from 8:30 to 11:00 am. Bring your gently used skates, skating outfits, or other skating equipment that you would like to sell. Make sure tags are securely attached to the item and clearly marked with your name, price, and sizing information. You can choose to consign your items (you keep 80% of the selling price) or to donate them to the club. These sales are the perfect opportunity to pick up a new competition outfit or purchase other skate apparel at a great price, so be sure to browse when you drop by! Any unsold merchandise will need to be picked up, so please plan to stop by and retrieve any of your remaining items at the end of the sale. Any items not picked up will be donated to Goodwill. If you have any questions, please contact our fundraiser coordinators, Marilee or Heather.
