Recently, four of our skaters participated in the 2010 Southwestern Regionals competition held in Grapevine, TX from October 9-13. Here are some pictures of our competitors, three of whom demonstrated their talent during our Regionals exhibition held two weeks before the competition. Congratulations to Bethany, Jaydee, Kayla, and Marlo – we are very proud of you!
On Sunday, October 25 at 3 p.m., NBC will air the skating special “Halloween on Ice.” The show was filmed live at the Qwest Center with music by Mannheim Steamroller and included performances by skating stars Nancy Kerrigan, Todd Eldridge, Elvis Stojko, Steven Cousins, Josef Sabovcik, John Zimmerman, Jennifer Robinson, Tamar Katz, and Silvia Fontana. Ten of our club members participated in the show, which allowed them to observe all aspects of a professional show production. The girls also skated in their own opening number for the show, and Lyndsy was given a key role as body double for Nancy Kerrigan’s spiderwoman character. Please join us in congratulating Alyssa, Bethany, Jaydee, Jessamine, Kayla, Lauren, Lyndsy, Maddie, Marlo, and Taryn for their participation in such a wonderful experience!
