About Our Club

The Figure Skating Club of Omaha (FSCO) was established in 1939 on the flooded tennis courts of the Omaha Country Club, making FSCO one of the oldest skating clubs in the United States. FSCO serves the greater Omaha metropolitan area, offering classes at Motto McLean Ice Arena in Hitchcock Park and Baxter Arena near the UNO campus.

FSCO offers recreational “Learn-To-Skate” classes for beginning skaters ages 3 to adult, as well as on- and off-ice specialty classes for advanced skaters, such as power stroking, jump class, stretch class, and edges class. Club freestyle ice is also available for private lessons in the disciplines of freestyle, field moves, dance and pairs.

FSCO hosts two locally-held competitions each year: the Summer’s Edge competition in June, and we co-host the Omaha Winterfestival competition in late February.

In addition to practice and competitions, FSCO skaters enjoy many social events throughout the year, including picnics, parties and group social outings, as well as the annual ice show held each spring and the club banquet in June.

Ready to join our Figure Skating Club of Omaha?  Check out our Membership page for an application, or ask one of our coaches for more information!  We can't wait to see you on the ice.
