Will you be competing soon and want to try that new element in your program? Do you want more practice in a competition setting so that you can feel more prepared? Would you like to banish those competition jitters before the actual event? Or perhaps you want to try out your new competition outfit and perform for your family and friends? If so, then you will want to sign up for our Exhibition! Each month from May through August, we will hold an exhibition where skaters can perform their program in a competition event setting. Skaters will need to wear their competition outfit, makeup, and hair. Participating skaters will be divided into warm up groups by level, with a 5 minute warmup for each group.
The exhibitions will be held on:
- Saturday, May 25 – 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Saturday, June 22 – 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Saturday, July TBA – 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Saturday, August 10 – 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
The exhibitions are open to FSCO skaters of ALL levels. You will need to pay 1 coupon or $12 cash for each program that you want to skate. There is a limit of 18 skaters per exhibition, so reserve your spot by emailing Andrea Williamson no later than the Wednesday before your preferred exhibition date.
We are repeating our highly successful cookie dough fundraiser again this year. This fundraiser supports the club and also allows your skater to earn a $2.00 voucher for every tub of cookie dough sold! Vouchers may be used for payment toward Learn to Skate classes, FSCO Test Sessions, and FSCO ice coupons. You may download a cookie sale form or pick one up at our Learn to Skate desk. Orders (with payment) are due to Sonja on Saturday, May 4th. You will need to pick up your order on Saturday, May 11th from 10 – 11:30 a.m. at Motto McLean ice arena. If you have any questions, contact Sonja Kapoun-Roof at email@example.com.
We are very excited to announce that we have planned a special skating seminar with World and Olympic Coach, Kathy Casey! The two-day seminar will be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 1st and 2nd. The seminar will be an excellent opportunity for competitive figure skaters to improve their skating skills, with classes being held both on and off ice. To attend the seminar, download the brochure and registration form and submit to Andrea Williamson. We still have a few open spots left, so please send in your registration forms as soon as possible. Thank you!
