Programs

The Figure Skating Club of Omaha offers many class, in addition to our Learn to Skate program, for skaters of all levels.  These classes are specifically designed for skaters to improve the skills necessary to continue skating beyond Learn to Skate and in competitions.  All classes are taught in small groups by our elite senior coaching staff.

On-ice classes are taught on the ice and proper skating attire is required.  These classes use the entire ice surface and are ideal for students who want more instruction outside of Learn to Skate and/or private lessons.  A variety of topics are covered to include jumps, spins, edges, endurance, performance, and more.

Off-ice classes are conditioning classes that help build the muscles and skills that translate to enhance a skater's performance on the ice.  Sneakers are required for all off-ice classes and athletic clothing is encouraged.  It is recommended that participants also have a jump rope.

Rising Stars is for skaters Basic 6-Freeskate 6 levels and is taught on Saturdays during the school year, Specality Class is for skaters No-Test level and higher and is taught on Saturdays during the school year, and the Summer Program is for skaters Basic 6 and higher and is taught during the week in July and August.  All three classes have an on-ice and off-ice portion.

You can get more information and register by downloading each form through the link above and mailing it in or turn it in at the beginning of class.  If you have questions please ask your coach or contact Andrea Williamson.
